Effective Rural School Model:Course Offerings - Draft - 8/17/2000 High School courses listed on this page are primarily the product of a week-long Fall 1998 ERS inservice in Manokotak and subsequent additions or revisions. All descriptions are still in "Draft" form, but have been tentatively approved for use. Subject area courses identified as "Required" must be offered at all sites so all students can satisfy the actual District graduation requirements. All other courses are currently identified as "Electives" and these must not be substituted for one or more of the required classes. Any changes to or variations in this District policy must be approved by the Board. SWRSD Curriculum Writers: Please do not offer any additional elective classes unless you have first written, submitted, and gained approval for an appropriate course description. Use the "Approved Template" and submit drafts for new courses -and/or any proposed changes to previously approved courses- to Mike Meador at the Central Office. Please submit all curriculum work in ClarisWorks format to facilitate posting to this web site.
