COURSE DESCRIPTION

Drawing & Painting will provide all students with an opportunity to study and explore the process of drawing and painting using a variety of materials and techniques. They will be able to use and recognize the five basic elements of art (line, shape, value, texture and color) when creating their own art and when analyzing the art of others. Students will also study the art of various cultures and historical eras and will incorporate aspects of their own culture and other cultures in several drawing and painting projects.
