This kit will help you teach children about the four species of loons
in alaska and what people can do to preserve loon habitat. Slides, videos,

learn to identify birds based on physical adaptations, behavior, and habitat.
Bird Study Skins Kit
Contains study skins of many interior Alaskan Bird species. It
does not contain any lesson plans and may be checked out alone or with
the bird kit.

Nine sequential hands-on-activities address the issue of water quality,
the water cycle, and groundwater pollution and protection

Students learn about insects in the field and in the classroom using

Mammal Kit
Learn about mammals and their lifestyles and habitats with an emphasis
on alaskan species. Kit contains skulls, pelt pieces, latex track
and scat replicas with related lesson plans.
Marine Mammals kit
Contains lesson plans, puppets, a video, books, posters, and games
to teach students about Alaska's marine mammals.
Minerals kit
contains mineral samples, information, posters, lesson plans, and experiments
for learning about geology and the history of mining in Alaska.
Owl Pellet Kit
Are you studying bones? Try a unique means ofteaching by dissecting
an owl pellet. Owls,hawks and other raptors swallow their preywhole and
later regurgitate a pellet containingcomplete skeletons of rodents, moles,
shrews,and birds. (The pellets are sanitized.) The kidsdiscover each new
bone with excitement andfun... they can even reconstruct a skeleton! Thisis

Songbird Blues Kit
